Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI)

(WASHINGTON, DC ) October 30, 2009 - Sim-G Technologies announced today that it has been awarded a competitive task order by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to design, develop, deploy, operate and maintain the FBI’s National Gang Intelligence Center (NGIC) Information System (IS). The task order, awarded under the GSA Alliant Small Business Contract, has an estimated value of $15M over five years if all options are exercised.

The Alliant Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (Alliant GWAC) is a competitive multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract. The contract is designed to provide worldwide information technology solutions to federal agencies.


U.S. ARMY AWARDS SIM-G TECHNOLOGIES THE INTEGRATED COMMERCIAL INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM IV (ICIDS IV) CONTRACT WITH A POTENTIAL VALUE OF $352 MILLION

(WASHINGTON, DC and HUNTSVILLE, AL) March 12, 2009 - Sim-G Technologies announced today it has been awarded a six year contract from the Army's Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville, AL, to serve as the prime contractor on the Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System IV (ICIDS IV) program.

The ICIDS IV contract, managed by the Product Manager Force Protection Systems, Fort Belvoir, VA, is the Army's standard physical security equipment suite that provides a means for military installations worldwide to detect, assess, and respond, as necessary, to unauthorized entry or attempted intrusion of their facitilities.

Members of Sim-G's team include DRS Technologies; ICx Technologies; L3; Battelle; LESCO; and General Dynamics. DRS and ICx, incumbent contractors on the ICIDS III contract, will help assist our fielding efforts with installation and sustainment of the equipment. L3 will provide surge expertise in CONUS and OCONUS fielding, and will assist in technology evaluation and the laboratory strategy for the program. General Dynamics and Battelle will address MDARS (robotic) integration and future Guardian (CBRN) integration. LESCO of Huntsville, AL, will take the lead in developing the technical manuals and training and testing documentation.


1/09 - Alliant Small Business (SB)
As a Prime contractor, Sim-G Technologies was awarded an Alliant Small Business (SB) Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract (IDIQ) contract is worth an estimated $15 billion over a five-year base period and includes an additional five-year option. Under Alliant SB, Sim-G will provide comprehensive IT solutions and services to federal agencies who will obtain best-in-class solutions across a broad range of information technologies and products. Further, by aligning the scope of work with the Federal and Department of Defense Enterprise Architectures, GSA has established a contract framework that is: consistent with the Federal government's approach to define and justify IT investments; eliminates the need to specify every service category in the universe of IT support; encourages re-use of IT components and solutions; and can evolve over time to adjust to advances in technology.


1/09 - Department of State
As a Prime contractor, Sim-G Technologies was awarded a five year Architect/Engineer contract with Department of State, providing all architectural/engineering expertise and services at various embassies and consulates worldwide. The professional services to be provided include, but are not limited to, fire alarm/detection, and life safety: Plan and specification review, shop drawing submittal review, hydraulic calculation review, fire alarm/detection system design, progress inspections of building construction to determine code/contract compliance, fire pump testing at factory prior to shipment overseas, final acceptance tests for fire/life safety systems, fire protection code analysis, fire modeling, exit modeling and custom programs. The maximum dollar value for the life of the contract (base year and four option years) is $1,500,000.


Marianne Meins
Joined Sim-G Technologies as VP of Professional Services Division. Meins brings over twenty years of technical expertise in defense, intelligence and homeland security leadership. Prior to Sim-G, Meins was VP of Intelligent Security and Safety Solutions LOB at Olive Group, Director of Engineering at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems and Managing Director of Homeland Security at Veridian. In recent years, Meins has held several strategic positions in support of Department of Homeland Security OI&A and NPPD directorates including the role of first phase Chief Architect of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection Fusion Center Systems built for National Communications System, US-CERT and the National Infrastructure Coordinating Center. She holds a BA in Applied Mathematics/Scientific Programming from UC San Diego and a MS in Computer Science from George Mason.


Paul Rempfer
Joined Sim-G Technologies as Technical Director in the Professional Services Division. Rempfer brings over 13 years of technical expertise in Federal Information and Fusion Center Programs and with DARPA. He is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP). Paul has a broad technical background that includes Intelligence and Fusion Center Programs. He has held strategic positions supporting major program with the Federal Government and large Defense Contractors in the Washington, DC area.He holds a BA Degree from the University of Iowa.


Johns Hopkins Award
Sim-G Technologies was awarded a subcontractor by M.C. Dean, to furnish and install a new high rise, microprocessor- based, fire-alarm system at Johns Hopkins University clinical building.


Omaha Office
Sim-G Technologies opened its Omaha Office. Led by Paul McCaskill, Director Western Region, the Omaha office will support Federal Government and other customers in the Midwest and western U.S.


Huntsville Office
Sim-G Technologies opened its Huntsville Alabama office. Led by Robert Hufnagle, Director of Huntsville Operations, the Huntsville office will support customers and projects in the southern region of the U.S.
Charleston Office
Sim-G Technologies opened its Charleston South Carolina office. Led by Don Curtis, Vice President of Charleston Operations, the Charleston office will support customers and projects in the Mid-Atlantic and southern region of the U.S.
